About the position
The Building Maintenance position involves providing general and detailed maintenance, including patching, painting, hardware repairs, and other repairs/replacement work as required. The role also includes performing routine facility and equipment maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Performing maintenance on HVAC (i.e. changing air filters, belts, grease).
- Keeping documents of inspections and problems.
- Utilizing construction skills such as carpentry, painting, masonry, plumbing, roofing, and welding.
- Performing overall building maintenance including painting, lighting, installing equipment, fixing ceiling tiles, and flooring.
- Proactively identifying maintenance issues and finding the best solutions to address issues.
Requirements
- Requires a complete understanding of all machinery including operating adjustments, maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills for fixing maintenance issues.
- Strong verbal and written communication for discussing maintenance issues.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as required.
- Minimum age: 18.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam.
Nice-to-haves
- HVAC certification preferred but not required.
