By joining our Project Delivery & Preservation Branch II as a Highway Technician Assistant I in Franklin County, you’ll have the opportunity to you’ll have the opportunity to operate basic automotive and power equipment used in road construction and maintenance such has single axle trucks (dump, flatbed, pickup), snowplow and salt spreaders. Summary of Responsibilities: Use construction equipment to maintain roads Use equipment to control vegetation along roads. Participate in snow and ice removal during inclement weather events Perform traffic flagging operations during road maintenance Ideal candidate will have experience in: High school diploma or equivalent Driver’s license Eligibility to obtain a Commercial Driver's License Basic maintenance or construction experience Willingness to work outdoors Benefits and Perks: Comprehensive health with optional dental and vision insurance.
