By joining our Project Delivery and Preservation Branch as a Highway Technician Assistant I in Jefferson County, you’ll have the opportunity to you’ll have the opportunity to operate basic automotive and power equipment used in road construction and maintenance such as single axle truck, snow plow and salt spreaders. Summary of Responsibilities: Use construction equipment to maintain roads Use equipment to control vegetation along roads. Use equipment to perform snow removal on highways. Use equipment to spread salt on the highways to prevent icing. Flag for traffic control. Ideal candidate will have experience in: Driver’s license Eligibility to obtain a Commercial Driver's License Basic maintenance or construction experience Ability to perform general labor work Benefits and perks: Comprehensive health with optional dental and vision insurance.
