Requirements

  • One (1) year of experience performing activities in snow and ice, soils, road surface maintenance, roadside maintenance, bridge maintenance, signs, or related activities
  • Successful completion of a Heavy Equipment Operation and Maintenance Program (of at least 60 semester credits; or 90 quarter credits) will substitute for one year of experience
  • Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with no air brake restriction and tanker endorsement
  • Working knowledge of English sufficient to read, write, speak, and understand oral and written information

Nice To Haves

  • Previous MnDOT experience working as a Laborer, Transportation Associate or Transportation Generalist

Responsibilities

  • Perform all activities required for roadside maintenance
  • Perform all roadway surface maintenance activities
  • Service and make minor repairs to operating equipment
  • Provide traffic control
  • Perform basic construction monitoring duties and basic inspection activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned
