About The Position

The New York State Department of Transportation is seeking candidates for the position of Highway Maintenance Worker 1/Trainee 1/Trainee 2 in Region 9, Sullivan County. Requirements

• Must be 18 years old.
• Pass a physical/medical examination and drug test.
• Possess a Class D Driver License for Trainee 1.
• Possess a Class A or B Commercial Driver License with no airbrake restriction for Trainee 2.
• Satisfactory completion of the Highway Maintenance Worker Traineeship 2 or one year of experience in highway construction or maintenance for Highway Maintenance Worker 1.
• Possess two NYSDOT equipment operation certifications and specific certifications for Highway Maintenance Worker 1.
