Requirements
- ALL ANSWERS TO THE SUPPLEMENTAL QUESTIONS MUST BE SUPPORTED BY THE WORK EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION PROVIDED ON YOUR CIVIL SERVICE APPLICATION.
- Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary.
- Must obtain Class B Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement and without airbrake restriction within six (6) months of permanent hire date.
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with tanker endorsement and without airbrake restriction.
- Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & decimals, percentages & fractions; & ability to read, write & speak common English vocabulary; & 3 mos. trg. or 3 mos. exp. in operation of basic equipment.
Responsibilities
- Serve the public and work to make the roads in Ohio safer
- Attend training to obtain CDL licensure; if not already a licensed CDL holder
- Perform highway maintenance activities; including flagging, pothole patching, repairing guardrails, litter pickup, mowing
- Perform snow and ice operations
