About The Position

Permanent Highway Maintenance Worker 1 (HMW1) - No CDL or Highway Technician 1 (HT1) - Class A or Class B CDL With Tanker Endorsement - Cuyahoga County - East Side (Warrensville) - PNs: 220078947, 20057223, 20056054
The selected candidate will be placed in the classification in which they meet the minimum qualifications.
What You Will Do:
As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to:
Serve the public and contribute to making Ohio's roads safer.
Attend training to obtain CDL licensure if you are not already a licensed CDL holder.
Perform a variety of highway maintenance activities, such as flagging, pothole patching, repairing guardrails, litter pickup, and mowing.
Participate in snow and ice operations to ensure safe travel during winter conditions.

Requirements

• Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading, writing, & speaking common English vocabulary. Must obtain Class B Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement without airbrake restriction (Highway Maintenance Worker 1)
• Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & decimals, percentages & fractions; ability to read, write & speak common English vocabulary; 3 mos. trg. or 3 mos. exp. in operation of basic equipment. Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with tanker endorsement without airbrake restriction (Highway Technician 1)
