About The Position

Under broad supervision, provide advanced‐level technical support in one or more of the following areas: OMAT, maintenance, construction, intermodal, planning, utilities, surveying, environmental or traffic. JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES: Under immediate supervision, and in a learning capacity, performs work in the maintenance of state highways and rights-of-way or in the installation of traffic control devices. Uses hand and power tools to complete assigned tasks. Operates light vehicles and equipment to perform activities. Learns to perform traffic control duties and preventive maintenance on equipment. Completes applicable paperwork. Responds to requests for emergency needs outside of normal working hours. Lifts moderately heavy objects. Climbs, stands, or walks for long periods of time in possible adverse weather conditions. Uses accurate eye-hand coordination. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Possession of a valid driver's license
  • Possesses a basic knowledge of maintenance and/or construction equipment
  • Ability to successfully perform all the job requirements listed above

Nice To Haves

  • Possession of a Class B Commercial Driver's License
