HIGHWAY MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR 1 - (Austin)
About The Position
Highway Maintenance Supervisors supervise skilled and semi-skilled personnel engaged in restoring roadway surfaces and restoring or constructing slopes, shoulders, culverts, structures, fixtures and landscaping. Incumbents function as first-line supervisors who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; assign and review work; and initiate disciplinary action. This position is located in Austin, NV. Supervises crew that performs routine maintenance including snow/ice removal, should/appurtenance repair & maintenance, emergency response for accidents, floods and hazards to provide traffic control and maximize safety. This crew maintains US 50: Bob Scott, Austin Hickson, SR 305 (to LA MP 38.55), SR 722 (to LA MP 12). Includes summits ranging from 6492' to 7438' in elevation, requiring regular attention during snow/ice events or emergencies.
