Summary The construction laborer performs tasks involving physical labor at highway construction projects. The position may operate a variety of hand and power tools and may clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, clean up rubble and debris, and remove waste materials. The position may assist other craft workers.

Requirements

2+ Years of experience performing labor work.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Applicant must have no prior history that is violent in nature and/or theft related in the last 7 years
Comply with the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in highway construction projects; performs manual work.
Maintains a clean job site: picks up all tools and equipment and secures job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.
Performs materials handling and storage.
Loads and unloads trucks and hauls and hoists materials.
Comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements
Must be physically healthy to stand, bend, and walk for up to 10-12 hours a day
