About The Position
The employee will report to a State Highway Administration Shop in Hagerstown, LaVale, Keyser’s Ridge, or Oakland, Maryland, and perform duties assigned by the Shop supervisor. The specific duties and responsibilities for this position may vary depending on the needs of the specified contract.
Requirements
- Ability to pass pre-hire screenings, such as background or drug screening
Responsibilities
- Brush cutting
- Tree trimming
- landscaping
- ditch digging
- Litter pick-up
- Mowing and/or weed eating of right of way
- Removal of animal carcasses
- Snow removal
- Highway signs assemble and installation
- Highway building and rest area maintenance
- Established for flagging operations as certified flaggers
