About The Position

From civil engineering, electrical, mechanical, and process engineering, Kleinfelder's collaborative Design Services create synergy across multiple disciplines. Kleinfelder's Transportation team is seeking an entry-level Highway Design Engineer to work alongside our seasoned project managers and engineers to develop transportation projects. This position is an in-office position and offered at our Hunt Valley, MD office.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from ABET accredited engineering program.
• 0-3 years of design experience in the highway transportation field. Relevant internship experience or college coursework will be considered.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer desired.
• Experience with project delivery of State Agency Transportation Departments.

Nice To Haves

• EIT Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• The successful candidate is expected to perform engineering tasks in the transportation and highway engineering field through application of relevant design criteria, standards and processes.
• The candidate will be expected to work on multiple design projects and assist in the preparation of engineering documents for advertisement and construction cost estimates.

• The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.
• Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
• Salary range: $27.64 per hour - $38.20 per hour.
