About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Highway Design Civil Engineering Intern to be based in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.
This position is expected to begin in June 2026.
Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Must have 2 years of completed study.

Nice To Haves

• Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing, and standard Microsoft Office software.
• MicroStation and/or Autodesk familiarity.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate effective time management, task prioritization, and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of roadway geometry, traffic control, as well as signing and pavement markings.
• Provide utility coordination support.
• Assist in Computer Aided Design production
• Assist in quantities and cost estimates
