About The Position

This is a seasonal position with an expected start date in mid-April. DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a responsible, motivated, and proficient Highway and Bridge Maintenance Laborer with good ethics and a great attitude. This person will be responsible for performing highway maintenance labor work; to include traffic control set-ups, bridge maintenance/cleaning, and tree brush removal.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
18+ years of age.
Valid drivers license with 5 years clean MVR.
ATSSA Traffic Control Certified (company provided, if not currently certified).
Ability to lift 50-60 pounds.
Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and overtime, as needed.
Ability to drive box truck or equivalent.
Capable and comfortable working from various heights.
ABILITY TO TRAVEL AWAY FROM HOME FOR UP TO 1-2 WEEKS AT A TIME IN DE, NJ, NY, PA, AND VA (hotel expenses paid by the Company).

Responsibilities

Perform diverse types of highway maintenance work, including bridge cleaning, maintenance, tree cutting, and vegetation removal.
Conducts equipment for pre- and post-trips.
Set-up and tear down daily temporary traffic control.
Ensures all work is conducted in compliance with strict safety guidelines.
Drives company vehicles.
Uses all equipment and tools safely.
