About The Position

At Arkansas Lighthouse Charter Schools, we engage, embrace, and empower every scholar, every voice, every day. We are currently seeking highly qualified, mission-driven educators for the 2026–2027 school year across Kindergarten through Grade 12, including Advanced Placement (AP) courses at the secondary level. We are being intentional in our search for strong instructional leaders who are prepared to teach within their certified content areas and, when needed, across appropriate grade bands in alignment with student needs and school design. Arkansas Lighthouse Charter Schools exists to create a vibrant, supportive local ecosystem through education. We are seeking educators who: Hold appropriate Arkansas licensure in their content area(s) Demonstrate deep content expertise (including AP-level rigor where applicable) Are prepared to teach across grade levels within their certification area when student needs require it Deliver explicit, research-based instruction Use data to inform planning and intervention Foster curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration Believe in building scholar agency — not just compliance Thrive in a collaborative, feedback-rich culture of continuous improvement We are strategically identifying highly effective educators who are adaptable, skilled in vertical alignment, and prepared to contribute meaningfully across our K–12 continuum.

Requirements

  • Hold appropriate Arkansas licensure in their content area(s)
  • Demonstrate deep content expertise (including AP-level rigor where applicable)
  • Are prepared to teach across grade levels within their certification area when student needs require it
  • Deliver explicit, research-based instruction
  • Use data to inform planning and intervention
  • Foster curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration
  • Believe in building scholar agency — not just compliance
  • Thrive in a collaborative, feedback-rich culture of continuous improvement

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated record of student growth
  • Experience teaching AP or dual credit courses (secondary applicants)
  • Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
  • Experience in data-driven instructional planning

Responsibilities

  • Teaching assigned courses aligned to Arkansas Academic Standards
  • Delivering Advanced Placement coursework (for qualified secondary candidates)
