About The Position

Elite Investigations is seeking experienced Store Asset Protection Detectives/Loss Prevention Agents to join their team. The role involves maintaining high standards of asset protection and loss prevention while being mobile across various locations. Candidates will be responsible for observing suspicious activities, implementing loss prevention strategies, and responding to alarms. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to handle crisis situations effectively.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Store Detective/Loss Prevention
• Must possess a valid NJ SORA License
• NJ State ID Card & Valid Social Security Card along with proof of residency
• Fluency in English (speak, read, and write)
• Strong communication skills, decision-making, professionalism, and maturity
• Highly experienced Detective (3+ years at Supermarkets or retailers)
• Strong knowledge of loss prevention procedures and protocols
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to travel to assigned job sites in and around Newark, NJ

Nice To Haves

• Mass Transit Experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Being mobile to various locations
• Observing all suspicious activities (Five-step procedure a must)
• Communicate consistently with your team on duty regarding any suspicious activity
• Implement loss prevention strategies and procedures to minimize risk
• Monitor and respond to alarms to detect potential theft
• This is a PATROL/WALKING post which requires you to be on your feet while on duty.
