About The Position

High Voltage Utility Underground Lineman The High Voltage Utility Underground Lineman assists in the construction, maintenance, and repair of energized underground electrical distribution systems. This role requires working safely in outdoor environments while following established procedures and direction. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform new construction, maintenance, and repair of energized underground distribution systems under supervision Follow work orders, job plans, and verbal instructions to complete assigned tasks Safely operate and maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment Identify and select appropriate materials, including sizes and types, for pre-assembly Understand and maintain required minimum approach distances Perform physically demanding work outdoors in all weather conditions Duties and responsibilities may change based on company needs and priorities.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret work orders, instructions, and procedures
• Knowledge of equipment setup and grounding practices
• Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• General knowledge of OSHA standards for energized and de-energized work environments
• Effective communication skills (written, verbal, and nonverbal)
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Technical degree, 0–2 years of field experience, mechanical aptitude, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• CDL Class A license or ability to obtain
• OSHA certifications (required or ability to obtain)
