About The Position

Position Overview: As a member of the Power Electronics systems manufacturing team, the QC Test Technician visually inspects all units to be tested (pre-power inspection), perform production line acceptance testing using a combination of manual and automated test equipment. With strong troubleshooting techniques, the technician should be able to identify problems during test and provide solutions. Duties and Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: Perform visual inspections on all product lines. Perform production line acceptance testing including insulation tests and function tests. Ability to work from detailed instructions, drawings, and procedures. Troubleshoot and provide results in a timely fashion (strong troubleshooting skills). Record test results and complete paperwork per instructions/procedures. Report issues found on failed units. Perform some mechanical assembly. Ability to handle large gage cables. Able to function in a team environment with limited supervision. Excellent people skills to include collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment. Outstanding work ethics and commitment to organizational success. Available to work in an evening shift. Other duties as assigned. Travel: Limited as needed

Requirements

  • 2 - 5 years' experience
  • Two-year technical degree in Applied Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Equivalent college hours in engineering or comparable industry experience.
  • Must be able to read and interpret schematics.
  • Experience in power electronics.
  • Experience in operating standard test equipment including DMMs, oscilloscopes, power analyzers, Isolation testers, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
