About the position

Sodexo is seeking a High Voltage Operations Manager for a large pharmaceutical client site located in Rahway, New Jersey. As an expert in electrical systems, you will oversee the safe and efficient operation of critical infrastructure, from substations to UPS units. Your leadership will ensure continuous system performance, troubleshooting, and collaboration with contractors while managing maintenance schedules and compliance. Please note, this is a full-time salaried 40/hr a week position that will require candidates to work frequent weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee vendor management for UPS and generator systems, ensuring compliance with monthly and yearly preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Support Medium Voltage systems and serve as a backup Main System Engineer.
  • Review and design electrical drawings in line with NEC and IEEE standards.
  • Apply knowledge of NFPA-110, NFPA-70E, and NFPA-70B to maintain system safety and compliance.
  • Collaborate with electrical contractors and testing companies for system optimization and troubleshooting.
  • Manage electrical shutdowns, oversee pre-shutdown meetings, and act as the primary point of contact for electrical installations or shutdowns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or NJ electrician license.
  • 7+ years of experience in planning, scheduling, and managing electrical system maintenance activities.
  • Proficiency in SAP CMMS, Maximo, and Microsoft Office for tracking, analyzing, and reporting on maintenance tasks.
  • Proficiency in electrical design and analysis software to support system design and troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, showing initiative and organizational skills.
