Requirements

• U.S. citizenship.
• Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
• Suitable for Federal employment.
• Satisfactory completion of a pre-employment medical examination.
• This position requires call back or emergency overtime.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and repair transformers, circuit breakers, underground cables, and high-voltage distribution systems operating at 13,800/7200 volts.
• Install, modify, and maintain high-voltage electrical equipment and control systems.
• Use diagnostic tools such as meggers and voltmeters to identify and resolve faults in electrical systems.
• Plan and perform installation, maintenance, and repair tasks in accordance with safety standards.
• Splice and repair underground cables using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Interpret electrical drawings and schematics to guide maintenance and repair work.
