About The Position
In this position, you will be responsible for repairing, modifying, and installing power monitor and distribution systems, which include various components such as wires, cables, poles, fuses, switches, transformers, capacitors, and regulators. Your duties will also involve measuring, cutting, bending, and installing underground cables and conduits, connecting lines, and testing their operation. You will operate motor vehicles and power equipment, including power lifts, winches, aerial booms, power take-offs, ditching equipment, pole augers, chainsaws, and other hand and power tools. Additionally, you will use technical test equipment such as relay test sets, volt, amp and power factor meters, high voltage output testers, and fault-finding equipment. A significant part of your role will involve working on energized systems to troubleshoot problems.
