We're looking for a High Voltage Electrician 2 in the Baltimore, MD- a role that will help us to power progress for our customers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of relevant experience and/or training.
• Proven knowledge of the principles of electricity and electrical design.
• 8+ years of formal technical training.
• 10+ years’ experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical switchgear, including both low volt and medium voltage power distribution gear.
• Knowledge with protection relays and meters.
• Positive, self-starter who enjoys working with others in a fast-paced environment to deliver consistent quality.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Specialize in working on both low, medium, and high voltage switchgear including breakers with relays, motor starters, VFD’s, load break switches, transformers, load banks, and batteries.
• Install fixtures, wiring conduits, motors, and other electrical equipment.
• Inspect circuits for specified shielding and grounding.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Periodically inspect equipment, and locate and correct problems before breakdowns occur.
• Locate and determine electrical malfunctions using test equipment.
