About The Position

Join a pioneering project as a Station Manager for the Grid Technologies Service Team, supporting the first HVDC offshore service agreement in the US. As a key delegate of the Siemens Energy Representative, you will serve as Station Manager and lead the Local Technical Support Team to ensure the reliable operation and maintenance of the Grid Connection System. You will collaborate with your team to plan and organize daily site activities. As the primary point of contact for customers, authorities, contractors, and partners on-site, you will facilitate smooth communication and coordination. Additionally, you will work closely with project management and the back-office team to align efforts and drive project success. You will have the dedicated support of two skilled electrician technicians, who together comprise the Local Technical Support Team. Stationed primarily at the onshore facility, this team is also prepared to deploy offshore as operational needs arise. They will carry out all essential electrical tasks and site activities detailed above, ensuring seamless and reliable service delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred
  • 5 or more years in construction, service, engineering, estimating, contract management, or client relations in Transmission/Power Generation preferred. (Candidates with more experience may be considered for a senior level role and vice versa.)
  • Readiness for Offshore certification (GWO), HUET training, and completion of all required safety/emergency response training; Thorough knowledge of protective lock-out tags, devices, and safe working practices. An offshore certification and valid US driver's license are requirements of the job.
  • Strong understanding of transformers, circuit breakers, converter technology, FACTS/HVDC systems, and electrical measuring instruments.
  • Experience with self-perform work setup/execution, long-term service contracts, and strong client relations; Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to interpret schematics, assess asset conditions, and strategically manage scope and risks.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Leading a Zero Harm/Tolerance Culture and ensuring strict adherence to EHS requirements, regulations, and procedures.
  • Overseeing order implementation, scheduling, and quality outcomes while supervising technicians and guiding daily site activities.
  • Acting as first responder for system events, conducting asset condition assessments, performing fault analysis, and analyzing alarms/trends.
  • Providing progress reports, coordinating corrective measures, evaluating cost-based risk mitigation, and facilitating lessons learned.
  • Managing spare parts, planning outages, coordinating emergency responses, and maintaining databases/software for maintenance activities.
  • Communicating with project management, stakeholders, and engineering teams (NC, Germany, etc.) to clarify requirements and escalate issues.
