Requirements

- Meet MSHSAA Assistant Coaching Requirements according to the guidelines presented in the MSHSAA handbook (sec 3.1)
- Be certified as a substitute teacher and must have completed 60 credit hours from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities
- Coaching high school track & field as assigned assisting with all athletes within the program
- Assist in program events and practices (items include high school and middle school home events)
- Assist in planning, organizing and operating efficient practices
- Assist with the preparation of high school and middle school events (home & away)
- Attend and assist off-season workouts, camps and activities as deemed necessary by the program's head coaches
- Be able to effectively communicate with students/athletes regarding their progress, performance and critical needs to improve
- Be able to effectively communicate with parents
