About The Position

The position involves coaching at Leadership Public Schools, where the coach is expected to establish a culture with a high standard of conduct consistent with the school's values. The coach will maintain accurate inventory of all equipment and uniforms, understand and meet the needs of unique athletes, and help them achieve their highest potential. Responsibilities also include establishing safety guidelines, team goals, and objectives, instilling appropriate behavior at camp and team activities, incorporating parents and guardians in their students’ performance, and reporting any rule violations to administrators. The role requires performing related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• NFHS Certification (First Aid, Health and Safety, and Fundamentals of Coaching)
• CPR/First Aid Certification
• High School Diploma (Bachelor’s Degree preferred) from an accredited institution
• Previous related coaching experience in the designated sport preferred
• Knowledge of coaching fundamentals and development of coaching techniques
• Demonstrate the highest level of character and professionalism
• Interpersonal skills to cooperate and work effectively with teachers, students, parents, and administrators
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
