Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Valid Missouri Substitute Certification (required).
  • Eligible to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Valid Missouri Teacher Certification is strongly preferred or willing to obtain promptly.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of teaching experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Instructional Leadership & Excellence Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction that drives measurable student achievement.
  • Develop high-quality, rigorous lesson plans, unit plans, rubrics, and assessments that align with school goals.
  • Regularly analyze data to inform instructional decisions, interventions, and supports.
  • Provide daily meaningful feedback to students tailored to their individual academic needs.
  • Student & Community Relationships Build deep, authentic relationships with students and families to support students' holistic development and persistence at Kairos.
  • Maintain proactive, transparent, and consistent communication with families regarding student progress.
  • Mentor and advise students regularly through advisory sessions and structured 1-1 check-ins.
  • Actively contribute to cultivating a strong school culture grounded in Kairos core values: Love, Excellence, Agency, and Diversity .
  • Whole-School Service & Leadership Engage proactively in whole-school service obligations beyond your classroom role, shaping school culture and community engagement.
  • Example roles include Grade-Level Lead, Community Lead, SEL Lead, Content Lead, and more.
  • Embrace Kairos' collaborative professional community, supporting peers' instructional growth and participating in professional learning communities (PLCs) and coaching check-ins.
