About The Position

The High School Strategy Consultant is responsible for the creation, maintenance and refinement of innovative high school programs which lead to development and conversion of students in the state of Connecticut. Builds rapport and strengthens relationships with educational partners to promote post-graduation opportunities at Hartford HealthCare. This includes strategically partnering with various internal functions (Talent Acquisition, Workforce Strategy, Academic Affairs, Human Resources, Volunteer Services, and business lines) across the organization to build meaningful internships, work-based learning, shadowing, and volunteer opportunities which transition into part time or full time positions feeding the foundational role pipeline. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree 3-5 years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years relevant experience
  • A passion for leading, shaping, and refining high school programs that optimize career ladder development opportunities and critical need areas of the system
  • Knowledge and vision of high school partnerships and student engagement
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to navigate business information systems (i.e. Business Intelligence) to identify critical talent needs and proactively plan what high school talent is needed to fill these gaps, adjusting the program plan accordingly
  • Experience, enthusiasm, and ability to work in-person in classrooms and with educators and students

  • Previous corporate or academic recruitment experience is desirable

Responsibilities

  • Manages all aspects of the Hartford HealthCare High School Strategy, to provide professional pathways and long-term career opportunities upon high school graduation, through partnerships including\: ReadyCT, CT Technical High Schools and Local High Schools
  • Actively manages cross functional HHC relationships to understand current partnerships, build standard work & processes, activate opportunities for automation, and standardize where possible for a “one HHC experience” for students, regardless of which region they interact with.
  • Partners with Talent Acquisition to build a system-wide minor hiring policy and standard process to create pipeline opportunities.
  • Creates and manages system high school events (summits, hiring events, classroom visits, etc.), creates collateral (websites, videos, flyers, etc.), and provides resources that can be utilized system-wide to promote high school programming
  • Tracks the onboarding and conversion of high school students in the established partnerships. Develops key performance indexes, dashboards and other reporting mechanisms to effectively demonstrate, communicate the value proposition of the programs. Provides reporting, such as community benefit, when appropriate.
