Position Overview: Manage the full Individualized Education Program (IEP) process, including development, implementation, progress monitoring, and systematic data collection/analysis for documentation. Collaborate and consult with school staff, related service providers, and parents to ensure holistic student development and facilitate inclusion. General Education Support & Co-Teaching - 1 Position Work closely with General Education teachers to co-teach core subject areas within an inclusive setting and deliver targeted instruction for smaller classes focused on executive functioning or self-contained core subjects. Practical Skills & Intellectual Disabilities Program - 1 Position Design and implement specialized curriculum tailored to meet the unique needs of students with intellectual disabilities within a practical skills setting, while managing and leading the daily classroom operation, including paraprofessional supervision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Valid Connecticut Special Education Certification with an 165 or Intellectual Disabilities Endorsement (Required)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IEP data collection and implementation processes

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience teaching and managing both co-teaching and self-contained classroom environments at the secondary (high school) level (Preferred)
  • Proven experience working effectively with students who have intellectual disabilities and behavioral support needs (Preferred)
