About The Position

Nodaway Valley Community School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered educator to join their team for the 2026–2027 school year. This position is for a High School Special Education Instructor (Grades 9–12) at Nodaway Valley High School. The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs and committed to fostering a supportive, structured, and engaging learning environment. The role primarily involves serving Strat I students, with some Strat II support, focusing on helping students build academic skills, independence, and confidence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong skills in differentiation, behavior support, and individualized instruction, while promoting student growth in both academic and functional areas. The instructor will collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and ensure student success across settings. A strong commitment to building positive relationships and contributing to a supportive school community is essential. Requirements

  • Valid Iowa Teaching License with the appropriate endorsement in special education for the secondary level (grades 9–12)
