About The Position
The Social Worker helps students overcome barriers to social and academic development by providing outreach and coordination for the student and his/her family, in order to foster a nurturing school and family environment. The Social Worker works independently following standardized routines under general supervision. The nature of the work requires adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations. This job requires frequent interaction both with students and families who may be in situations of distress and as such requires a high level of professional decorum, superlative judgment and the ability to perform under moderately stressful conditions.
