About The Position
The position involves planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and interactive science lessons in alignment with Illinois State Standards. The educator will demonstrate appropriate short and long-term preparation for classroom instruction, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and fosters critical thinking skills. The role requires the use of a variety of teaching techniques, strategies, materials, and technology to maximize the learning of each student, both individually and in group settings. The educator will hold high expectations for all students and serve as a facilitator of student learning, assessing student learning through various methods and using the results to adjust instruction as needed. Communication of student progress to students and parents is also a key responsibility, along with effective classroom management.
