High School Principals (Grades 9-12) at IDEA Greater Cincinnati are instructional leaders who manage people, processes, and systems to achieve ambitious goals. Our High School Principals focus on excellence and continuous improvement, and they expect and foster these values in staff and students. High School Principals will report to the Executive Director and lead their schools to ensure IDEA’s mission of College for All becomes a reality. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Strong desire to ensure 100% students are on track to graduate or pursue a post-secondary option Expertise in Ohio-specific graduation requirements, including components related to student course completion, demonstration of competency, and demonstration of readiness (Seals) Proficiency in leading academic programming related Career Technical Education (CTE) - Performing Arts, College Credit Plus (CCP), and Advanced Placement (AP) Knowledge of current K-12 courses of study, district scope and sequence framework, and state standards/guidelines Demonstrated instructional leadership experience with proven results Commitment to continuously improving every single day Ability to navigate complex situations with positivity and assertiveness Awareness of personal strengths and areas of improvement Experience leading a school to dramatic gains in a challenging context Plan all actions of leader and teachers to achieve rapid, dramatic gains Influence others to contribute to rapid, dramatic gains
