About The Position

The High School Pastor provides spiritual leadership, vision, and pastoral care for the high school ministry at Westside Church. This role is responsible for cultivating a thriving, Christ-centered community where students are known, discipled, and equipped to follow Jesus. Through teaching, relational investment, leadership development, and team building, the High School Pastor leads both students and volunteers toward spiritual growth and active participation in the life of the Church. In partnership with the Youth & Family Pastor and Youth team, this role helps shape the overall discipleship pathway for students while championing the unique needs and culture of the high school ministry.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in youth ministry or pastoral leadership
  • Demonstrated gifting in teaching, discipleship, and spiritual leadership
  • Proven ability to build and lead healthy volunteer teams
  • Strong relational and pastoral care skills with students and families
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Availability for a non-traditional schedule including Sundays (9:00am–12:00pm required) and weekday evenings

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in ministry, theology, or related field
  • Experience in a large church (1000+ attendance) or multi-service environment
  • Background in pastoral care, counseling, or spiritual formation
  • Experience developing leaders and building ministry systems
  • Familiarity with Planning Center or similar church management systems
