We are accepting applications for a long-term substitute High School Music/Performing Arts Teacher. The position begins immediately and will last approximately 3 months. School Lane Charter School is an inclusion and inquiry-based internationally-minded IB school looking to hire a long-term substitute for a High School Music/Performing Arts Teacher. We expect a teacher who stays up to date with the ever-developing new trends in music, choral, and performance art, who is prepared to guide students' understanding of these cultural shifts into being lifelong learners adept for the 21st century. A fundamental understanding of band production, electronic music production, and theatre experience is a plus. Must be a team player proficient with Google Suite and music theory. An SLCS teacher is responsible for planning, instruction, activities and assessments based on the SLCS curriculum. Teachers are tasked with creating an integrated instructional program that supports an inclusion-based learning approach fostering a safe environment that respects academic and cultural diversity. Additionally, teachers are expected to work together with other teaching and support professionals in a collaborative manner to provide teaching strategies and methods that address a wide range of learning styles, individual needs, interests, abilities, and maturity levels of students.
