About The Position

The High School MLL/ESL/ELL/ELD Teacher at Rocky Mountain Prep is responsible for driving student growth and proficiency through the use of high-quality curriculum and data systems. This role involves collecting and analyzing academic data to provide targeted instruction, fostering a strong classroom culture, and collaborating with colleagues and parents to support student learning. The teacher will also model the school's core values and contribute to achieving the school's academic goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in any subject.
  • Completion of CDE READ Act training and/or CDE Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CLD) 45 contact hours.
  • Pass a background check.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Current Colorado teaching license with relevant grade/content endorsement (K-12; 6-8, or 7-12) or an official transcript demonstrating a degree in secondary education or relevant content area.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum two years of lead teaching experience.
  • Experience with progress monitoring, data collection, and analysis.
  • Knowledge of culturally responsive instruction and critical pedagogical framework.
  • Demonstrated success working with scholars from historically marginalized communities.

  • Assist with arrival and dismissal duties and other school community tasks.
  • Collaborate with Special Education teachers to ensure appropriate academic support.
