About The Position

Norwood Public Schools is seeking a dynamic candidate with effective instructional delivery techniques to serve as our High School Math teacher. The teacher will instruct students in order to develop competence and an understanding of fundamental math skills. This position requires the teacher to instruct using the Colorado State Standards as a foundation for what we want students to know and be able to do.

Requirements

• Valid Colorado State Teacher License for Teaching Positions
• Must meet Highly Qualified Teacher (HQT) requirements as defined by Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)
• Must pass a general background check (BCI/FBI)
• A passion for learning

• Strong desire to motivate students
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to create an atmosphere of respect and trust
• Ability to use a wide variety of instructional strategies
• Willingness/openness to learning and applying MTSS/PBIS/Restorative practices
