This opportunity entails, while under close supervision and review, the intern will assist assigned department(s) and/or project(s) by performing basic engineering-related, computer assisted drafting and design (CADD) and administrative support tasks reflective of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education at high school Junior and Senior level. Our Chelmsford, Massachusetts office is seeking a High School Intern for an Overhead Contact Systems opportunity in Winter/Spring 2026.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in Junior or Senior year of High School

• Self-starter and ability to work independently
• Interest in studying Mechanical or Civil Engineering in a college program

Responsibilities

• Under close supervision and review, the intern performs basic engineering calculations and related tasks.
• Assists engineers and/or technicians in organizing information for use in drawings or other documents.
• Utilizes computer aided drafting to assist in the preparation of CADD plans.
• Assists engineers in various tasks including writing, report creation, data analysis, presentation development and other administrative support tasks.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
