Under the direction of the Director of Training and Education, the Instructor HSE/GED is responsible for preparing students for High School Equivalency/ General Education Development (HSE/GED) test, which is equivalent to a high school diploma. Teaching basic skills to participants with varying academic levels by integrating skills that prepare students for HSE/GED test, which is equivalent to a high school diploma. Assist trainees for the HSE/GED test and transition to construction career pathways, apprenticeships, and/or postsecondary education. The areas of instruction may consist of one or more of the following areas: Mathematics, Reasoning through Language Arts (Reading and Writing), Science, Social Studies, and Civics. Additionally, Instructors are responsible for implementing Financial Literacy, and for following goal setting with the Career Readiness Coach (CRC). The High School Equivalency (HSE)/GED Instructor is a grant funded assignment with a projected end date of with renewal.
