About The Position

Knoxville Community School District is seeking qualified candidates for the following anticipated position for the 2026–2027 school year: High School Counselor Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements and demonstrate the ability to: This role is part of a comprehensive student support team, working closely with another high school counselor, a College and Career Transition Coordinator, a College and Career Readiness Coordinator, and the Coordinator of Student Services to support student success. Requirements

• Master’s degree with a valid Iowa license and Professional School Counselor (5–12) endorsement

• Previous teaching experience preferred

• Provide comprehensive, individualized guidance and counseling services to high school students.
• Support students’ academic, personal, social, and emotional development.
• Collaborate with students, families, teachers, and administrators to promote student success.
• Assist students in setting and achieving academic, postsecondary, and career goals.
• Address personal and social challenges that may impact student well-being.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment for all students.
