About The Position

We plan to grow and open 1-2 schools each year because children in every community deserve excellent, equitable education. Our Network office is located at 401 W. 218th St., New York, NY 10034. Consultants will collaborate remotely or in-person as agreed upon based on project needs. To achieve our vision, we are searching for a High School STEM Curriculum Writer Consultant with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Master’s degree preferred, and at least three years of experience with a proven record of developing rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum that drives strong student outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Design full-course curricula for high school STEM subjects (e.g., Robotics, AP Computer Science A), including scope and sequence, unit plans, and daily lesson plans
  • Develop high-quality instructional materials, including: Student-facing lessons and problem sets Labs, projects, and real-world applications High-quality homework aligned with the course Formative and summative assessments with clear success criteria
  • Ensure alignment to New York State standards and Zeta’s academic vision and outcomes
  • Embed inquiry-based learning, conceptual understanding, and opportunities for analytical thinking and problem-solving
  • Design assessments that measure both content mastery and application of skills
  • Collaborate closely with academic leaders, instructional coaches, and other curriculum writers to ensure coherence across courses and grade levels
  • Use feedback from educators and student performance data to iterate and improve curriculum materials
