BRICK operates schools in Newark, New Jersey (BRICK Gateway Academy Charter School) and Buffalo, New York. BRICK Gateway Academy offers a K-12 continuum with college-focused academic programming and free wraparound services like prenatal care, career services, and housing support. High school alumni receive up to six years of post-graduate assistance. The College and Career Advisor is a key member of the Office of College, Career, and Student Life, serving students in grades 9-12. This role focuses on preparing students for successful postsecondary transitions, reporting to the Director of Student Supports. The advisor manages a caseload, provides individualized and group advising, models advisory practices, advocates for students and families, and supports schoolwide college and career readiness efforts, including testing coordination. Success is measured by the percentage of students meeting college and career readiness goals, with a primary goal for graduating seniors to achieve 100% matriculation into postsecondary institutions or meaningful employment.
