About The Position

The coaching position at Leadership Public Schools requires a commitment to establishing a culture of high standards and conduct. The coach will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory of equipment and uniforms, understanding the unique needs of athletes, and helping them achieve their highest potential. The role involves setting safety guidelines, team goals, and objectives, as well as instilling appropriate behavior during camp and team activities. The coach will also work to develop collaborative relationships with parents and guardians to enhance student performance and report any rule violations to administrators. Additional related duties may be assigned as necessary.

Requirements

  • NFHS Certification (First Aid, Health and Safety, and Fundamentals of Coaching)
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • High School Diploma (Bachelor’s Degree preferred) from an accredited institution
  • Previous related coaching experience in the designated sport preferred
  • Knowledge of coaching fundamentals and development of coaching techniques

  • Incorporate parents and guardians in their students’ performance by developing and maintaining collaborative relationships
  • Report any rule violations to administrators
  • Perform related duties as assigned
