About The Position

The Stonehaven School exists to glorify God by cultivating truth, goodness, and beauty in students through a distinctly Christ-centered classical education. Our school is refreshingly unique in its class offerings, thoroughly classical in its approach to learning, and intentionally focused on the cultivation of virtue in our students. The Stonehaven School strives to be the premier classical Christian K-12 school in the Metro Atlanta area with a reputation for Christian virtue and academic excellence. The foundational commitments of The Stonehaven School include: intentionally founding every aspect of education upon biblical truth, commitment to traditional and long-established exemplary forms and standards in education, belief that true education culminates in wise and virtuous students conformed to the image of Christ, dedication to teaching and learning with excellence as unto the Lord, belief that true education recognizes that hearts and minds are shaped by ideas, knowledge, practices, habits, routines, and liturgies, and seeking to assist parents in their God-given task of educating their children in the Lord. The Stonehaven School is a non-profit 501(c)(3), non-denominational, classical Christian school, accredited through both the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS) and the Association of Classical Christian Schools (ACCS). We are hiring a part-time High School Boys Basketball Head Coach and a High School Boys Basketball Assistant Coach to begin work in the 2026-2027 school year. The goal of our coaches is to further instill Christian virtue into the moral fiber of our athletes, focusing on developing athletes that can 'be someone' rather than just 'do something'. Athletics provides a unique and awesome opportunity to develop discipline, perseverance, and responsibility. A natural result of this focus will be a passionate desire to win and succeed in our athletic endeavors. Our coaches seek to nurture a will toward excellent performance in harmony with good sportsmanship, humility, and grace. We expect all student-athletes and coaches to model Christ-like behavior in victory and defeat. The development of godly character helps point to the ultimate goal of doing it all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and giving thanks to the Father through Him (Colossians 3:17).
