The Assistant Girls Basketball Coach is responsible for assisting the head coach with organizing various aspects of the Girls Basketball Program. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: Assist the head coach with overall team management, including but not limited to recruitment of student athletes, coordination of practices, monitoring academic progress and preparing the team for competition. Use a variety of instructional techniques and media to meet the needs and improve the abilities of student athletes in girls basketball. Assess players’ skills and assign team positions. Determine game strategy based on the team’s capabilities. Other duties as assigned by the head coach.
