About The Position

The HS Assistant Coach position involves assisting with organizing a total sports program for baseball, softball, and wrestling. The coach will instruct athletes in fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training necessary for individual and team success while promoting character development, self-discipline, self-confidence, and pride in accomplishment. The role requires upgrading knowledge and skills through coaching clinics and observations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with organizing a total sports program.
• Instruct athletes in fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training.
• Serve as a role model for student athletes.
• Maintain discipline among student athletes.
• Assist the head coach in scheduling and transportation for events.
• Prepare for scheduled sport events or practices.
• Provide documentation for state and system requirements.
• Safeguard maintenance and protection of assigned equipment.
• Mentor athletes in character development.
• Monitor student athletes' grades and conduct.
• Provide guidance and safeguards during practices and games.
• Enforce training rules and regulations.
• Complete paperwork on athletic injuries.
