About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and safety-focused High Pressure Black Seal Operator to join our team. This entry-level role is responsible for the safe operation, monitoring, and basic upkeep of high-pressure boiler systems. The ideal candidate will already possess a valid High Pressure Black Seal license and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence. This position does not require advanced mechanical work but does require reliability and attention to detail.

About the Role

As an Assistant Controller, you will play a key role in overseeing daily accounting operations while supporting month-end and year-end close processes. This position ensures compliance with GAAP and internal policies, while driving accuracy and integrity in financial reporting. You will partner closely with finance team members and cross-functional departments to deliver timely insights, identify process improvements, and enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical abilities, leadership skills, and the capacity to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Valid High Pressure Black Seal License (required)
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
• Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and work as part of a team
• Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus, but not required
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Comfortable working in industrial environments, including exposure to heat and noise
• Valid High Pressure Black Seal License (required)
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all operational procedures
• High attention to detail to accurately monitor equipment and system performance
• Dependability and accountability in completing assigned tasks and maintaining consistent attendance
• Ability to identify issues and report concerns in a timely manner

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor high-pressure boiler systems in a safe and efficient manner
• Perform routine inspections of equipment, gauges, and system controls
• Maintain appropriate boiler water levels, pressure, and temperature within required standards
• Conduct basic preventative maintenance and maintain cleanliness of equipment and surrounding areas
• Identify, document, and report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly
• Accurately maintain logs and records of boiler operations and system performance
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
