About The Position

At a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a High Power Project Manager to join the Data Power & Control Starline Team in Canonsburg, PA. Starline Holdings LLC, a company of Legrand is seeking a Project Manager for our High Power Bar business. The primary function of this role is providing high-level project management expertise, as well as commercial leadership and operational awareness to ensure customer projects in the High Power base are executed and delivered as expected. The role shall partner with sales, operations, planning, and leadership in order to lead and support activities aimed at defining and executing the project scope and delivering the project on time according to contractual obligations, which will maintain a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. The role will work with sales executive leadership and customer service leadership, and support to ensure customer demands are clear and delivered upon, and assist the manufacturing and operations teams to have the finished goods ready for delivery per project timeline, and ensure such teams provide the status of production throughout the manufacturing lifecycle. This role requires strong project management, ERP experience, planning skills, leadership, and communication across multiple functions and a full understanding of the sales and operations business cycle. What Will You Do? Lead and coordinate project communication, documentation, and execution of several projects Maintain High-level expertise in project management to deliver projects timely Prompt leadership and action internally with factory ops team and application engineering to complete outstanding milestones and provide progress updates to customers Escalate to head/s of department or manager/s of the responsible party if the responsible party is not cooperating to meet delivery milestones Ensure detailed design layouts of busway systems, customer drawings, project tenders, and field inputs are in place for onward project management Familiarity with ERP systems in an operations environment and working experience of the manufacturing lifecycle, including planning, SIOP Working knowledge of Autocad, Revit, MS Project (Gantt chart) is a plus. Compile product technical documentation (catalog sheets, FAQs, Tech Briefs, Reports, installation instructions, O&M, etc.) Attend project meetings and document meeting minutes to keep track of progress and be proactive in initiating meetings in writing to clear any outstanding issues to ensure the company is not held liable for any project delay Submit payment progress claims, if appropriate, and assist with accounts receivable as needed Support the management of the customer’s project through the entire project lifecycle

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management leadership experience; preferably in the datacenter industry
  • Experience effectively coordinating, leading, and influencing multi-disciplinary teams
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, MS project (Ghantt chart)
  • Proven familiarity with project management tools
  • Proficient in communication for project management reports to customers and internal
  • Superior project management, organizational, change management techniques, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Pro-active and independent to solve project issues
  • Aptitude for electrical product applications in power distribution systems
  • Ability to communicate, articulate, persuade and influence people at all levels, verbally, in writing and by presentation
  • Self-reliant, flexible, independent and resourceful
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand electrical products and data center applications.
  • Results oriented, self-motivated individual.
  • Ability to work remotely and in a team environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Regularly required to stand; walk and communicate with others.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with electrical power distribution products is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Autocad, Revit, MS Project (Gantt chart) is a plus.
