About The Position

The High Performance Director is responsible for overseeing USA Archery's National Team Program, aiming for consistent success in Olympic and Paralympic competitions. This role involves leadership, strategic planning, and collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance the performance of the United States Archery Team (USAT).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in sport science, sport management, or related field (master's preferred).
  • Minimum 5+ years' leadership experience in sport performance or related field.
  • Experience with international archery, Olympic, and/or Paralympic sports preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects with attention to detail.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop team culture.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in professional sports management.
  • Knowledge of World Archery rules and athlete development practices.

Responsibilities

  • Direct all aspects of USA Archery's National Team Program to achieve Olympic and Paralympic medal success.
  • Collaborate with USAA senior staff to develop and implement high performance strategic plans.
  • Provide vision and leadership for the National Team Program, focusing on performance success at major competitions.
  • Lead and manage national team coaches and direct reports, including their development and performance appraisal.
  • Work with the National Coaching Staff and advisory councils to develop High Performance Plans and funding requests.
  • Integrate sport performance service providers to support athlete performance and well-being.
  • Maintain knowledge of coaching, data analytics, and performance science to enhance team support.
  • Establish a unified coaching education strategy for ongoing professional development.
  • Design and monitor athlete and coach development pathways for international success.
  • Direct planning and administrative efforts for National and International Teams and High Performance Programs.
