About The Position

The High Performance Data Coordinator (HPDC) will support the utilization of data to support U.S. Ski & Snowboard athlete performance. The HPDC will be primarily responsible for managing the intake, maintenance, and communication of data in the Athlete Management System to all stakeholders within the organization. This includes ensuring data is complete, accurate, timely, and trusted across medical, performance, and results domains. They will also work on assigned performance-impacting projects as assigned by the Sport Data Analytics Manager and formulated by the HPDC. The HPDC will be a problem solver with exceptional ability to translate data into actionable and meaningful output for team implementation.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a quantitative field, preferably statistics, data science, computer science, or a related discipline.
  • Strong quantitative/STEM background with experience in R and/or Python
  • Very organized with excellent work ethic
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer literacy and data visualization skills, preferably in Teamworks AMS, Excel, and/or Tableau
  • Strong foundation in relational databases
  • Willingness to travel and manage new ski environments with different groups
  • Legally able to work in the USA (USA citizen or existing Green Card/Work Visa without further sponsorship).

  • Experience in sports, particularly snow sports, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Partner with staff and athletes to identify, evaluate, and support data-driven performance
  • Collaborate across teams to design intuitive data collection methods and dashboards that improve usability and insight delivery
  • Work closely with the clinic and performance medical staff to maintain and optimize the electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Translate complex data into clear, meaningful insights for athletes and staff
  • Lead administration of the Athlete Management System (AMS), including permissions, group structures, and user access
  • Audit, document, and continuously improve AMS and performance data workflows to enhance efficiency and reliability
  • Establish and maintain data definitions, reporting standards, and process documentation
  • Apply appropriate statistical methodologies to collect, validate, and assess data across multiple performance and health domains
  • Own policies and procedures related to athlete data security, privacy, and data quality
  • Assist the Sport Data Analytics Manager and the rest of the High Performance Department with projects on a demand basis.
