About The Position

Management Applications, Inc., a leading provider of Managed IT Services and Network Management, Design and Implementation is seeking high-level Network Engineersfor services to design, engineer, implement and deploy a solution that optimizes the existing Texas Poison Control Network (TPCN) configuration for a hosted application environment to improve user experience and network efficiency; and provide managed services for the hosted application environment and the local area networks (LANs) at the six Regional Poison Control Centers (RPCCs).

Requirements

• Experience in the Following Technologies, Hardware and Software: LAN/WAN/VPN, Lenovo, Xerox, APC, IBM, Viewsonic, toxiCALL and Micromedex

Responsibilities

• Assess the TPCN’s current application environment, including the LANs at the six geographically diverse RPCCs (Amarillo, Dallas, El Paso, Galveston, San Antonio, Temple) and recommend compliant Texas Administrative Code Chapter 202 (TAC 202) Information Security Standards and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, as amended (including the HiTECH Act; and the federal Privacy, Security, and Enforcement Rules (collectively referred to as HIPAA) compliant solution(s) that optimizes the environment to meet Commission’s requirements
• Design, engineer, and implement the solution based on recommendation(s) accepted by the Commission
• Deploy the solution, including at the each RPCC’s LAN, user acceptance testing and training
• Provision TAC 202 and HIPAA-compliant managed services for the solution on an ongoing basis upon deployment completion. (Including maintenance, troubleshooting, break/fix, application support, third party vendor coordination, asset inventory, incident response, trouble ticket support, workstation and end user support)
